The Covid-19 situation has left its mark on the restaurant industry. The expectation of fewer tourists makes the country's eateries deeply dependent on Danes starting to eat out again, and doing so more throughout the summer - says Niels Jensen, Director of Brand Suppliers.
A new digital campaign, Spis Ude Igen, aims to encourage Danes to visit their local restaurants, cafés, bars and other eateries after more than two months of closure due to Covid-19.
The campaign aims to remind Danes of the joys of eating out in Danish restaurants. Many have been looking forward to inviting family and friends out again, and it's important that we all remind each other of how great it is to eat out.
The nationwide campaign will run on social media from 16 June until early September. Through content and ads on Facebook and Instagram, Danes are encouraged to share their food experiences with each other by posting pictures of their eating experiences with the hashtag #spisudeigen.
In addition to the social media campaign, a wide range of gift vouchers for accommodation and dining experiences will be given away in various competitions.
