Bottles made of recycled plastic

We think it's common sense to look after the environment - even when it comes to packaging. 

Did you know that sustainability is something Jakobsens focuses on?

Jakobsens wants to do something for people and nature, which is why we are actively committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

One of Jakobsens' main focuses is to use more sustainable packaging. Therefore, in 2019, we started replacing all our squeeze bottles with bottles made of PCR-PET. PCR stands for Post-Consumer Recycled, which means that the plastic is produced from household sorted plastic that has been recycled. The benefits of using bottles made from PCR-PET include less waste products, fewer wasted resources and therefore less production of new plastic.

This means the packaging on our large squeeze bottles is now made from 78% recycled plastic. Because we think it's important to look after the natural world that provides our honey. Now and in the future.

Sometimes it's the outside that counts.
