Ingredients

  • Dish:
  • 350 g Jakobsens Dansk Blomster Honey
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. deer salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger powder
  • 0.5 tsp. cloves
  • Glaze:
  • 400 g icing sugar
  • 100 g egg whites
  • Possibly fruit colors

Preparation

Dish:

1. Heat the butter and honey until the butter is melted.

2. When the butter/honey is lukewarm, beat the eggs and stir into the honey mixture.

3. Mix the flour and spices well and sift them into the dough and mix well.

4. Place the dough in a bag or tight container and let it rest for 2-3 hours in the fridge or overnight.

5. Roll out the dough to just under 1 cm thick and cut out with a cookie cutter.

6. Place the shapes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

7. Bake 8-10 min at 165°c fan oven.

8. Cool on a wire rack and decorate with icing.

Glaze: 

1. whisk the ingredients together well, you can adjust with a little water if it is too thick.
