Baked vegetables in salads

Do you have some apples from the garden that you think are just on the tart side? Baking them in the oven gives them a lovely sweet flavour and they're great on top of a lovely autumn salad. Also try baking your root vegetables in the oven and topping them with a little acacia honey for extra sweetness. Perfect as an accompaniment to a main course or on top of a salad.
