Honey caramelized french toast

  • French toast:
  • 8 slices of day-old bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1,5 dl milk
  • 2 tbsp. Jakobsens Liquid Danish Honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla powder
  • 1 pinch of table salt
  • Butter for frying
  • Cream:
  • 200 g fresh raspberries
  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 60 g icing sugar
  • Topping:
  • Jakobsens Liquid Danish Honey
  • Fresh berries


French toast:
1. Whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla powder, honey and salt in a bowl. Dip the bread slices in it (on both sides) until just soaked. They must not become too soft.

2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Melt the butter and fry the bread slices for about 2 minutes on each side, until they are slightly golden and crispy.

1. Mash the fresh raspberries with a fork to a compote-like consistency.

2. Beat the icing sugar and mascarpone together and fold in the raspberry compote.

3. Top with the cream, fresh berries and liquid honey on your French toast.
