French toast with caramel topping

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of day-old bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 dl milk
  • 1 tsp. fine salt
  • 1/2 vanilla pod (seeds)
  • Butter for frying
  • Jakobsens Topping with caramel
  • Berries for garnish (blueberries, strawberries, other)

Preparation

1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and vanilla seeds.

2. Spread the mixture in a dish and place the bread slices on top.

3. Leave the slices for about 15 minutes and then turn them over so that both sides get the mixture.

4. Heat a frying pan and fry the French toast until golden and firm.

5. If there is more egg mixture left in the dish, you can pour it over the slices during cooking.

6. Finally, top with fresh berries and caramel topping.
