Brown cookies with agave syrup

  • 1 hour and 30 min.
  • 150 pcs.

Ingredients

Preparation

1. Melt margarine, brown sugar and Jakobsens Agave Syrup together over low heat in a large saucepan. Remove the pan from the heat. Mix the spices and baking soda well and add. When the mixture is lukewarm, stir in the egg. Cool completely!

2. Mix in the flour, but leave a little to prevent the dough from becoming too stiff. Knead the dough well on the table and add the rest of the flour if necessary.

3. Divide the dough into two balls and place them in two large plastic bags (approx. 50 x 28 cm). Then roll out the dough in the bag with a rolling pin into a flat package.

4. Put the dough in the fridge for about 1 hour.

5. Roll out the dough in the bag to a thickness of about ½ cm. Cut open the sides of the bag and cut out the shapes, leaving the dough in the cut plastic bag. This will release the dough easily and you can continue to roll out the remaining dough in the same way. Decorate with almonds if desired.

6. Bake the cakes at 200 gr. (general oven) for about 8 minutes. Keep a close eye on the oven! The baking time depends on the thickness of the cakes. Bake the cakes until they are light brown.

Place the cakes on the baking paper on a baking tray to cool. The figures can be decorated with icing as desired when completely cool.
