Roasted pears

1. Peel the pears and cut into 4-6 pieces.

2. Remove the seeds from the chilli and chop finely.

3. Melt the butter in a pan over low heat and let it turn light golden brown without burning.

4. Add the honey and stir well until melted.

5. Add the chilli and roast for about 1 minute. Add the pear pieces and toss to coat completely. Simmer on a low heat for 2-3 minutes.

Be careful they don't boil out.

Serve cold with walnuts, rocket, Parma ham and coarse bread.
