Grilled nectarines

Preparation

1. Halve the nectarines and remove the stones. Place the halved nectarines on the grill, cut side down, and grill for about 3 minutes. - or until golden and streaked.

2. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with honey and vanilla seeds. Place them on the grill with the filling facing up and grill for about 4 minutes. - or until heated through (it is better that the nectarines are slightly burnt than that they are not hot inside). Serve immediately.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or cream cheese.

TIP:
The fruit must be ripe for the dish to be successful. The dish can also be made with other ripe fruit such as pineapple, mango or pear. You can use a grill pan instead of the garden grill.
